In leadership (and life), patience beats speed. Every time.
Patience is one of the most underrated leadership traits I know. And it’s a principle I lean on — whether I’m coaching leaders, training for triathlons… or making pancakes with my kids.
(Quick tip: Flip too soon, you get a mess. Wait for the bubbles — then flip. Golden perfection.)
The same applies to leadership. Patience isn’t about sitting back and hoping things improve. It’s about creating space for thoughtful action, clear decisions, and trust to build.
Teams thrive when leaders exercise patience. It fosters understanding and resilience — and helps people navigate uncertainty (which these days comes faster than ever).
And when things do go sideways? A patient leader stays calm, adapts, and keeps the team focused on long-term success — not short-term panic.Just like pancakes, great outcomes take the right timing. So flip when it’s ready — not when you’re impatient.
