Raising Leaders — One Friendship Bracelet at a Time

ree

The next generation will face challenges we can’t yet imagine. Let’s prepare them well.

My girls are nine. Right now, leadership looks like organizing play dates with their friends, rehearsing lines for the school play, or crafting elaborate friendship bracelets for everyone they know.

And as I watch them, here’s what I hope they’ll carry into their future — as leaders and as humans:

Flexibility. Change happens faster than ever. Stay adaptable, keep an open mind.

Problem-solving agility. When challenges come — on stage or in life — stay calm, act decisively, and adjust.

Tech curiosity. They’re growing up digital. The tools will evolve, but curiosity and adaptability will always serve them.

Resilience. Success won’t always stick. Failure won’t define you. Learn, grow, lead forward.

Empathy. Work may get more remote, but kindness and understanding will always connect us.

And fun. Keep a playful spirit. It makes the work (and the journey) better for everyone.

Now if you’ll excuse me — the “spa” is open, and apparently, I have an appointment.
