Raising the Next Generation of Leaders

ree

The challenges they'll face will be unlike anything we've seen before. But so is their potential.

One of my favorite things is watching my daughters take on the world—how they play, how they race (they’ve even done the Iron Kids!), how they support each other. I might be in the background, but I’m always watching, always cheering.

Knowing what I know now, here’s what I hope they carry with them as they grow—not just into strong young women, but into thoughtful, impactful leaders:

Flexibility. The world will keep changing. Fast. Leaders who can pivot calmly and stay open-minded will thrive.

Agility in problem-solving. See the issue. Address it clearly. Act, adapt, and keep going.

Tech curiosity. They already outpace me here. My advice? Stay curious. Stay learning.

Resilience. As Churchill said: “Success is not permanent. Failure is not fatal.”  Progress isn’t linear. Show up anyway

Empathy. In a remote, fast-moving world, connection is currency. Lead with kindness and understanding.

Joy. Life’s too short to lead without laughter. Bring fun, bring energy, bring others along for the ride.

The finish line matters—but so does how you run the race.
